The Athlete communication series gives you 18 separate, short advice notes that will improve your mental skills for training as an athlete. Designed to be read singly or as a short e-book.
John Parker is a former international athlete in UK and New Zealand. He advises sporting organisations and has worked with Chief Executives and Management Boards of Netball, Cricket, Regional sports councils, Health Boards and Universities offering sporting degrees.
The first few communications lay the foundations of philosophy, attitudes, processes, skills and qualities that are needed by a dedicated athlete. Subsequent communications continually relate back to the content of the first few and how the skills that you develop as an athlete will see you through all the situations that will tempt you to become distracted or discouraged in your sport.
If you are discouraged, continuing training can seem imposing and even swamp you if you allow that to happen. Overcoming fears and improving your mental skills will make you a better trainer and a better racer. It is amazing how a problem is fixed by the correcting of a technique or attitude. The ramifications are often much wider than the immediate problem, even to improving your attitude, because deep down you know and feel things are improving therefore you will change your behaviours and improve performance.
This product is an electronic book download. It contains a zip file with 18 Athlete Communications contained within the zip folder.
