National Rowers day in Argentina. Here is some rowing history:

Every April 11 is a special date for rowers in Argentina. They celebrate the International Day of the Rower,  the Argentinian sports and rowing legend Alberto Demiddi from Buenos Aires.

Alberto Demiddi (11 April 1944 – 25 October 2000), FB Page

April 11, the birthday of the great Alberto Demiddi, is established as the National Day of the Rower. He was the world record holder in his single sculler in 1970. But there are no real festivals or parties.  Still the Argentinian Association honors their rowing stars with this day. A wonderful gesture.

There’s no delicate way to put this. If you’re a regular Rowperfect reader, you’re just . . . well . . . smarter than most people looking to improve their rowing, sculling, coxing or coaching.
