Happy Olympic Day everyone!Casitas four

Photographic proof that you don’t have to look good to win – it is commitment and determination and sheer bloody-minded stubbornness.  Pride & the absolute refusal to give up – these guys were (and still are) absofuckinlutely amazing!

We’d deliberately given Steve the bendiest oar, just for this photo-opportunity. It was also the only stroke of the entire race when Martin wasn’t looking at his own oar!

The less said about the bowside hand-heights, the better.

There’s no delicate way to put this. If you’re a regular Rowperfect reader, you’re just . . . well . . . smarter than most people looking to improve their rowing, sculling, coxing or coaching.
