Training camp – practicing sculling confidence drills

so you are going on camp. There are lots of opportunities to do technical practices which aren’t possible in home waters.
Take a look at Lonodn Youth Rowing and Paddy Ryan’s coaching team who invested in building confidence in sculling by practicing ‘tricks’ in their boats.
Can you spot

  • Racing start with oars backwards
  • Oar switch sides
  • Headstand
  • Press ups
  • Sitting on front canvas
  • Double scull each “rowing’ one oar like a pair
  • Double both sitting in bow seat
  • Double facing each other rowing in opposite directions
