My mate Cameron is a dab hand with a hack saw and a spanner.  He made himself a mount for his Go-Pro camera which fixes onto his single scull foot stretcher.

It has the additional benefit of using up any old broken, bent back stays which are lying round in the club house!

GoPro camera, mount rowing boat
The back stay fixes to the foot stretcher
go pro mount, rowing boat camera
The Go Pro mounts using a clamp onto the end of the backstay
go pro camera, mount go pro on rowing boat
An extra bolt through the foot stretcher holes and the angle of the arm can be adjusted.

Rowperfect resources – more rowing hacks

There is a category on this blog called Rowing Hack which has lots of tips and smart ideas which you can use.

Here are some of our favourites.

There’s no delicate way to put this. If you’re a regular Rowperfect reader, you’re just . . . well . . . smarter than most people looking to improve their rowing, sculling, coxing or coaching.
