Pilates and rowing show enormous synergies. Our Pilates post a few days has been viewed more than 1200 times. Today’s post and video will focus on the Finish and the Release. These are exercises for beginners and also for more enthusiastic athletes.

Pilates for rowers The Catch Pilates exercises for Rowers

Basically, our sports is a sport that utilises our body’s levers – arms, legs and backs – to push the oars through the water. For these levers to be effective it’s important that they stay in good alignment, that we have a good posture and in all phases of the stroke. Our Pilates series will focus on all parts of the stroke and show you efficient exercises.

Pilates and Rowing,  Finish and Release

The last video showed us how to focus on stability and balance. An important factor during recovery and catch.  In today’s video Rosana, our Pilates and rowing expert shows us exercises to strengthen our muscles during the finish position. Exercises to strengthen the posture.

If you are interested in a personal training which combines the benefits of rowing exercises and pilates, let us know. Rosana would be happy to answer questions.  Send us an email. We will pass your request to her.
