A year ago tomorrow Danny Boyle and Frank Cottrell Boyce launched the London 2012 Games with a truly awe inspiring Olympic opening ceremony.
It heralded the most successful Olympic and Paralympics of the modern age.
This week we launched Britain’s Personal Best which aims to re-ignite the very spirit of London 2012.
Britain’s Personal Best is an annual challenge to everyone in the UK inspired by 2012 to surpass their own personal best: whether it is by doing something better, bolder or trying something completely new.
It will culminate with a weekend of mass participation events over the weekend of 4-6 October 2013.
Supported by the Big Lottery Fund, and run by us at the Society Network Foundation, Britain’s Personal Best calls on charities, schools, community organisations and members of the public to take the baton from those people, both athletes and volunteers, who so inspired the nation at the Olympics and Paralympics last year.
Now you can:
– register as an individual or an organisation and share your ‘PB’ on our website
