Read this feedback we got from a RowingChat listener – could your club do this for their coaching team and improve their skills?
I absolutely LOVE your enthusiasm and motivating persona! These talks?? Fantastic! They connect local rowers to the world of rowing at large but do it such a way as to allow association with truly knowledgeable people. Here in the U.S., rowing is booming … everywhere it seems. Unfortunately, both decent boats and access to the depth you represent are lacking.
You’ve made access to these wonderful talks easy and available. This is important and timesaving given my more-than-full-time job, coming into rowing at the Master’s age range, and being personally low on the rowing expertise curve. I’d say, keep on doing what you’re doing. A rower doesn’t learn overnight and similarly, this internet offering will take time to grow around the needs of the general rowing public. Your presentation fundamentals seem good and perhaps new avenues for advertising and getting the word out will continue developing. These new internet communities always start small. Additionally, it appears that the wisdom of using a dynamic rower is being seen though the conventional Concept2 still has the market here.
Our little club on the coast of North Carolina has doubled in relatively short time and I expect the trend to continue. Access to experienced instruction and coaching will continue to be an issue as the need exceeds the supply of knowledgeable people on the water. That’s where I see you helping to meet the need as well as aiding our overworked coaches. To that end, I’m linking your FaceBook page to ours and letting our rowers know their off-water time can be productive.
‘wishing you the best and all the success in the world in the years ahead!
