Caught a nice article by Mahe on the anniversary of the single sculls final in 2012.

There is now only 353 days until the Single Sculls final at the Olympics in London. This is the one day that gets me out of bed every day to go put myself through the rigours of training, trying to improve on at least one thing each time I go out. This date is what I have been building for since the day I decided to go through another Olympic Campaign in late 2008. To be honest, I cant believe how fast it has come around! When I look back things haven’t quite worked out as planned, but the challenges have added to the learning and made the ride bloody interesting.

He also has advice on how to buy Olympic tickets from inside New Zealand – any disappointed Poms wanting a second go, get in touch as we have lots of NZ friends who may be able to help you apply locally.  Read more on Mahe’s website – sadly no RSS feed to follow
