These are some photos I took today at the course (not very happy weather photos) and at the opening ceremony, which was held in the Museum Square in front of the Rijksmuseum in central Amsterdam.

Highlight of the opening ceremony: the president of the organising committee rolled up his trousers and waded into the middle of the fountain to deliver his speech. The mayor followed suit, as did the FISA president. It has to be a first as far as opening ceremony speeches go… 🙂
