Rowing Stroke Cycle Technique refresher

This week we are focusing on technique here on Rowperfect – each day we will be publishing a detailed technical article about the rowing and sculling stroke cycle.

Our goal is to help you confirm what you already know and uncover things that maybe you haven’t thought about – challenges which help you to improve your understanding.

The pattern of information is identical

Each article is set out in the same way – because we believe asking challenging questions will help our readers figure out answers.  Learning by trying is probably better than an unquestioning fidelity to a single tutor.

  1. Description of the part of the stroke
  2. How to coach this part of the stroke
  3. Benefits of doing it well
  4. The perils of not doing it well

The rowing stroke and sculling stroke won’t be learned over-night.  But by testing your personal understanding, we hope you’ll be sharper at doing it yourself or teaching it if you’re a coach for the coming season. Watch daily for our updates!
