Opensource Rowing projects – the OpenBoat

Advertisements

Jim Flood is a massive advocate of opensource technology IP sharing.  He started the wooden ergo project and has just shared his latest innovation with us – the Open Boat Project.

Here’s how to build a single scull using recycled materials and at very low cost.  Sure it won’t win you the Olympics – but it’s a very neat concept.

Jim’s uploaded videos showing him assembling one.

Anyone want to try building one?

Jim Flood is an author of the Complete Guide to Indoor Rowing and a range of free rowing e books for sale in the Rowperfect store.
