Revised Lane Draw: Karsten (BLR), Twigg (NZL), Crow (AUS), Zhang (CHN), Erichsen (DEN), Knapkova (CZE)

It’s choppy at the start as the wind has swung to a direct headwind. It’s Knapkova who leads to 500m. The scullers cross the mark in reverse lane order. Knapkova moves away from the pack early and leads by a length of clear water through the second 500m. Knapkova crossed the half way marker almost 6 seconds ahead of Erichsen, with Crow just behind. Emma Twigg is a few feet back in fourth. Knapkova is extending her lead into the second half of the race. She sculls long and the boat runs off the finish well. She has two lengths clear now. Erchisen is a canvas ahead of Crow and sits in second place. At 1500m Crow and Erichsen are level but Erichsen takes a foot into the red buoys. Knapkova is cruising to the finish at rate 28. Crow fighting hard but tiring and can only close to within a foot of Erichsen. Knapkova wins by clear water. Erichsen holds on to second place ahead of Crow.
