There’s no delicate way to put this. If you’re a regular Rowperfect reader, you’re just . . . well . . . smarter than most people looking to improve their rowing, sculling, coxing or coaching.

You’re not interested in lame “go fast quick” schemes. You’re not trying to make the national team selection tomorrow with no work, no time, and no sense. You’re not chasing after a magical silver bullet that will solve all your rowing problems.

Mainly, you’d just like some solid, smart advice on improving your rowing technique and knowledge of the things that make crews go fast. Stuff that actually works, written by experienced athletes and coaches.

In other words, you don’t have to be brainiac to “get” this stuff. But you’d have to be an idiot to believe some of the ideas peddled by some online sport coach “gurus” (many of whom have never coached a string of winning crews).

Oh, of course: we’ll be doing it free
