Have you ever wondered why there isn’t a TV channel for rowing?  Well enterprising rower, Michael Harnad is in the process of making one.

I am a rower and a software developer. I am in the process of developing a rowing channel for the Roku set top box. Like the Apple TV and others, the Roku box is an alternative to cable TV.

As of April 2016, 1 in 5 households have “cut the cable” and currently consume video content through an online service, or, a similar box. As of March, 2016, Roku boasts 9 million active user accounts.

    Hello,
This is a great idea! Perhaps in the future you may want to include content from non-English speaking locations.
If so, I’d be happy to help with the French and Italian sources as a translator who is a rower as well, and experienced in translating rowing texts.
All the best – I shall be watching

Thanks Gillian – Very happy to include content from non-English speaking locations. Our problem is not understanding the sources and so not being able to spot which are worth translating and publishing. We know a website https://canottaggiomania.com/ and the French federation website – but no others. Keep watching for us, please!

Good point Rebecca! I do subscribe to canottaggiomania myself as well as some others. Maybe I could do a sample for review to help you decide and keep an eye open for any other good sources. There is the Italian federation site – http://www.canottaggio.org/index1.shtml -that has news items on there too.
