Measuring your hand for indoor rowing gloves

Advertisements

I’m trying to get gloves for my dad, who’s an indoor rower. He’s told me his hands measure 10cm across the palm. On your site this seems to make him an X-Small, unless I’m misreading the centimetre measurements next to the various sizes on the order page. At 6 foot 4 he’s a big bugger and this doesn’t seem right.

He’s told me it’s indoor rowing and that he needs left & right, and to get the ‘sculling’ version.

Can you tell me exactly what it is I need to buy please?

When measuring, make sure to measure circumference of the hand across the widest part of your palm, halfway between your thumb and forefinger, straight across to the edge of your hand as shown, with your fingers outstretched.

Circumference is all the way around your hand – the palm and the back of your hand.

Rowing Glove Size Chart

  • XX Small 15-17 cm hand circumference
  • Small 17-18.5 cm hand circumference
  • Medium 18.5-21 cm hand circumference
  • Large 21-23 cm hand circumference
  • X Large 23 – 25 cm hand circumference

Use your best judgment when determining which size best suits your hand type. For example, a slender hand and a thick hand may have the same width, but not the same circumference and not the same fit.

If your fingers are thick and you’re on the border between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Please measure your hands before buying.  Gloves cannot be exchanged if used.
