How to unstick stuck nuts on your boat rigger

Advertisements

Sometimes things in rowing get stuck.

To get them *unstuck* sometimes you need more torque.

To get more torque sometimes you need more leverage.

To get more leverage sometimes it helps to have a bigger tool.

Other tools I've seenused include short sections of scaffold pole which my old coach used to call his "persuader".  It works well when bending Janousek rigger pins.

If you have an adjustable spanner with a hole through the handle (many have this to hang tools up) you can put a screwdriver through the hole and use that as a lever in the same way that Mike demonstrates in the video.
