I’m looking to get a single over here in the US. Just wondering if there are any North American single builders you might recommend? Or should I stick with European?

Well I’m not going to write recommending any one boat over any other because I don’t know what you are like as a physique, financially or what your personal rowing ambitions are (Olympics or Sunday morning toddle).

But in general – buy the best you can afford.  Find a place to store it first (many clubs have a waiting list for rack space) and if you already row a boat, take all the measurements first so you can adjust the one you’re trying to make it as similar as possible.
