The AA voice-only Coxmate has a mounting block that attaches to the coxswain's waist or leg. The strap is adjustable in length. Each of the four corners of the plate have hard plastic velcro spots which enable the unit to connect firmly in place. In this way, a cox can get out of the boat having unplugged the base unit with both hands free leaving accidents less likely to happen.
The GPS sensor is mounted on a magnetic plate behind the cox on the stern canvas. Optional cable ties keep the wire neat and run it down into the cox seat to connect to the base of the SCT magnetic mount in a permanent connection.
If you have sealed compartments in your rowing boat and want to install a Coxmate Wiring loom, these glands keep a watertight seal and allow for easy access in the future should you need to repair / replace one of the modular sections.
