Drew Ginn writing on his blog has some good interviews from Australian media and a quick wrap-up post on the final race.
Very Happy Boys
Well it's 48 hours later and we have been enjoying the moment. Duncan and I in a cab going back to the village. Have to say it was tough but as they say anything worth doing is not easy. Who ever they are again they are truly wise. In next few days I will share many of the emotions we have been through, but for now we are two very happy men.
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful support and encourgement. It has meant a great deal to me.
Drew also wrote another post reflecting deeply on the people who surround him and his emotional connections with them both positive and negative.
It's a long one and you can read it Connection: Finding, Testing and Realising together.

Drew Ginn has updated his blog with a mirror-image post to Duncan Free, his pairs partner. He philosophises about fulfilling your ultimate rowing potential, plus he has some photos.
un-unorthodox
What the heck am I on about here. I have to say the World has been turned up side down and side up down. Oh and then there has been a little down side up and side down round. So if you are still with me then your probably a little dizzy which would give you a curious feeling of unease or loss of where abouts. It is true that I have been have issues with my back and this has created a challenge, but one we are working with.
How bad is it? That I cannot full explain, but what I can say is we sill have no excuses. Our heat and semi have been shared and shown we are ready. The outside does not always represent the inside but we are poised and ready for our final. Actually the inner World although challenged is clear and with that I know what has to be done. It has been unorthodox, in fact extremely unorthodox. This I will go into more after the final. For now I am focused and very much relishing the experience with Chris and Duncan as we go through this final phase of preparation.

Drew Ginn has put up his latest news on his blog site.
Relief & Excitement
Have to honest there have been a few anxious moments over the last few days. It would seem that my poor old back decided it would give me some grief. Boy don't you think I had a few flashes of 2000 all over again, but deep down I felt that that experience has taught me to read the signals better and to take action. Our coach Chris O'Brien was great swinging into gear to ensure everything was organised to make sure that it became no worse.
In fact many have been instrumental in assisting with the panel beating process. I am grateful to all involved and hope that as this week goes on I can repay their efforts. At the final hour I got our team physio (Ivan) to strap my back and had our boatman (Urs) to modify my seat. Easier than fixing the fin he said. Once on the water I was happily relieved that I had a reasonable movement and with each stroke from the pontoon start to feel quite positive about the race ahead.
